2008 RULES AND REGULATIONS
 
 
Conduct: Disqualification, Ejection, Fines and Suspension
1.        All vehicles must be operating in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the pit area, staging area and track area.
2.        Participants at events are expected, at all times, to conduct themselves in a professional and non-disruptive manner. Failure to do so will create just cause for disqualification, and/or ejection from the Event, and may also result in fines, probation and/or suspension.
3.        Disqualification or ejection may result in the any or all the following penalties:
3a - Participant will forfeit any prior placing, prize monies, contingency monies, points, and/or event awards.
3b - Participant may be fined (Fine will be determined by Event Management)
3c - In the event of disqualification of a vehicle, no refunds will be allowed.
3d - Violation of these rules is final. In good cause officials may, without liability, reverse, or revise their decisions.
3e - The decision of Track Officials shall be final and non-appeal able.
3f - Calls of judgment are not subject to appeal and shall be final.
3g - Any violation pertaining to safety equipment may not be appealed.
4.        Running Order Draw Procedure
4a- A participant's competition running order position will be determined by draw at the time of entry.
4b - For each class entered, the participant will have one (1) number drawn per entry in the class. The number drawn at the time of entry is the number that will determine their competition running order position.
4c - The numbers are not transferable .
4d - The lowest number drawn will be the first number in the running order, for that class. The next highest number, in that class, will be the next number in the competition running order, etc.
4e - Any multiple entries will be put into running order using the same procedure .
5.  Entry/Withdrawal of Vehicle
5a - Participants may enter any class in which the vehicle conforms to the rules and any superseding class without additional necessary rule compliance.
5b - To scratch a vehicle and receive a race voucher, the participant is required to notify Tech of their withdrawal prior to the start of the class, unless vehicle is entered more than one time in a class.
5c - If the participant doesn't officially scratch prior to the start of the class, the participant will forfeit his/her entry fee, unless vehicle is entered more than one time in a class.
5d - Once a participant has withdrawn from a class, that participant may not re-enter that class for that session.
6.         Staging and Timing
6a - A participant must be ready to compete within 3 minute after being signaled by the Staging Area Officials. Failure to stage upon the Starter's instructions is possible grounds for disqualification.
6b - It is the participant's responsibility to present his/her vehicle to the staging lanes in the proper running position and be ready to compete when his/her position is reached in the running order. Any deliberate delay will mean disqualification. Note: However, if the participant makes an effort to compete, every opportunity within reason will be offered them to make their competition appearance.
6c - Participants race against the clock for lowest Elapsed Time and Greatest Distance.
6d - No vehicle shall approach the starting line until the signal to compete is given. Failure to follow this rule may result in disqualification.
6e - Starting line judge indicates that a participant may approach the starting line and begin the staging process.
6f - Once a vehicle reaches the front of the staging lanes for a run, it must be prepared to fire and race.
6g - To be a legitimate winner, a participant's vehicle must self-start and self stage. Push starting or push staging a vehicle is prohibited. Staging must be done under a vehicle's own engine power.
6h - Any driver leaving the starting line before the start system is activated will have their time disqualified for the run.
6i - If the start beam is broken before the tree goes green, a foul start is indicated by a flashing light.
6j - A green light, on the tree, indicates a legal start
6k - Out of bounds are defined as two or more tires out of the pit with no immediate attempt to re-enter or hitting a boundary cone at the start or finish of the pit.
6l - Vehicles which go out of bound will be disqualified.
6m - Contact with guardrails, barriers or any other track fixture is grounds for disqualification.
 
 
7. Protest Procedures
7a - Participant protest may be filed by the driver or registered vehicle owner competing in the same event, in the same class as the vehicle being protested.
7b - Any protest must be made within 30 minutes of class competition. The protest must be made in writing and must specifically identify in detail the nature of the violation and must be accompanied by the protest fee of $100 cash.
7c - If the protest is not sustained, the protest fee, less if required a $20.00 re-inspection fee will be forfeited to the protested member.
7d - Any violation pertaining to safety equipment may not be appealed.
7e - Officials reserve the right to reject any protest filed that it determines, in its sole and discretion, is frivolous or intended to harass another participant or to otherwise gain some unfair competition advantage.
 
Mud Bog Rules
The mud bog pit size will range from 150' to 300' long depending upon facility. The recommended race pits will be 200' long with two equally spaced hills half the height of the depth of the hole.
Tech will Close 30 Minutes Before Start of Competition
Policy:
-All drivers must possess a current, valid driver's license. (Excludes ATV Junior Class)
- Drivers under the age of 18 must have written, on site permission from a parent or legal guardian. 
- All drivers must sign a safety waiver.
-No alcohol or drugs permitted. This policy will be strictly enforced and presence of alcohol or drugs will automatically disqualify the driver and vehicle from competition. Any participant who refuses to take a Breathalyzer test, or fails test, will be disqualified immediately by the tech.
-No riders permitted in vehicle
-"Cute" nicknames, slogans, artwork, etc. can be clever, but please do not let your entry become a political statement,
for any cause whatsoever.
-It is mandatory that a licensed driver be seated in the normal driving position any time the engine is running, including pit area, staging area, turn around and returns roads.
-No high-speed driving or "hot dogging" will be tolerated in the Pit, Tech or Staging areas. NO Warning will be given.  4-wheelers:  NO joy-riding will be allowed on premises. These actions are grounds for immediate disqualification of vehicle and driver by Event Management.
-Tech Management has final judgment on any vehicle class. Tech Management has the right to re-tech any vehicle.
Any refusal will be automatic disqualification. Officials have final judgment on all racing decisions.
